Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using AgingAlert, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not install or use the app.

2. Description of Service

AgingAlert is a Shopify app that identifies aging and dead stock by analyzing your store's order history. It provides inventory reports grouped by age and enables merchants to take bulk actions on aging products — including applying discounts, adding tags, and setting compare-at prices. All actions are initiated explicitly by the merchant; nothing is changed automatically.

3. Shopify Permissions

By installing the app, you authorize AgingAlert to access your Shopify store using the following permissions:

• read_orders, read_all_ordersRead order history (dates and line items only) to calculate last sold date per SKU. No customer names, addresses, or personal data is accessed.
• read_productsRead product and variant data to build the inventory aging report.
• write_productsAdd tags to products and update compare-at price (to show a strikethrough sale price on your storefront) when you trigger a bulk action.
• write_discountsApply percentage discounts to selected products when you use the Apply Discount action.
• read_inventoryRead stock levels per location to show accurate inventory quantities.
• read_locationsRead store locations to correctly attribute inventory quantities.

You can revoke access at any time from your Shopify admin under Apps. Revoking access will deactivate your AgingAlert account.

4. Data Use and Retention

Data accessed from your Shopify store is used solely to provide the AgingAlert service. We do not sell, share, or use your store data for any other purpose. When you uninstall the app, your store data is deleted from our systems within 30 days. We do not retain personal customer data — only aggregated order date and line item information needed for inventory calculations.

5. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for all bulk actions triggered through the app. Review selections carefully before applying discounts, changing prices, or moving products to collections. AgingAlert is not liable for unintended changes resulting from merchant-initiated actions.

6. Subscription and Billing

AgingAlert is billed through Shopify's billing system. Your subscription begins after a 7-day free trial. You may cancel at any time from your Shopify admin. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

7. Limitation of Liability

AgingAlert is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including unintended pricing or discount changes. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the three months preceding the claim.

8. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify you of material changes via email.
